Photolog Access from Maps
-------------------------
Highways GIS Portal users can now access precise route and milepoint locations by
clicking on any point on a road in a Website map! This allows users to use the GIS map to quickly find an area of interest without having to start at the beginning of the route.
Start by clicking on the "Photolog" icon 2nd from the bottom of the Navigation buttons.
The Cursor will then have a "Cross-Hair", or " + " sign at it's tip; place this cross-hair on
any point on a route on the map as shown in the area in the red circle below.
If your cursor is too far from a route when you click on it you will be prompted to select another point.
If you select a point near a route then a dialog box will display the Route and Mile Point selected. If this is acceptable click on the "View Photo Images" button, otherwise, click on the "Get New Route/Milepoint" button and select a new location.
If you happen to select a point near two or more routes then all of the routes in the vicinity will be listed in the route box. Choose the correct route and proceed.
When you click on the "View Photo Images" button, the Photolog interface will be displayed and the images for the selected route/milepoint will appear. Just click on the play button to drive!
